Aligarh Muslim University pupils protest against CAA.

Hundreds of students of Aligarh Muslim University fighting against the amended Citizenship Act disputed with police at a campus gate after which police utilized batons and teargas to disseminate the crowd.

Soon after the revolt near the Jamia Millia University in Delhi, the students commenced assembling at the Babey Sir Syed Gate and yelled slogans against the law and police effort on demonstrators in the national capital.

AMU Proctor Prof Afifullah Khan told some defense personnel has been injured in brick-batting near the gate.

Police said the student halted down the police cordon. Police have plugged all gates to the campus.

Tension persisted in the area as police used batons and teargas to control the situation.
